Job Summary

This position coordinates community outreach duties and assists with other digital and traditional communication activities of the organization to promote its image within the identified market and general public. The Community Outreach Coordinator will be expected to work closely with the Communications Strategist and the department manager to further the marketing goals of the organization. Assists in the development of marketing strategies and improvements related to systems, services, and programs. Coordinates projects relating to internal relations, public information, community relations, customer service, special events, and other special projects assigned. Assists with video production projects and social media campaigns. Serves as a back-up with hospital Public Information Officer (PIO) duties.

What You'll Do:

  • Coordinates community outreach activities by establishing relationships with various community partners and ensuring a hospital presence at important community events in the Eastern Sierra.
  • Assists with the maintenance of hospital social media outlets with an emphasis on continuous learning of new social media trends. Understands and helps to convey to department managers the best use of the internet to achieve objectives and then works to improve the Hospital's web presence.
  • Understands best practices in marketing and creates new and innovative approaches that best serve the hospital's marketing plan.
  • Works with Department Manager to research, analyze and report market impacts and brand strategies.
  • Coordinates projects and events relating to internal relations, public information, community relations, customer service, community education/ outreach, and other special projects assigned.

Qualifications:

  • College degree in strategic marketing, public relations, communications, or related field.
  • Four years of public relations, community relations, advertising, and/or marketing/digital marketing experience.
  • Previous experience in advertising and the use of social media to achieve digital marketing goals.
  • Basic knowledge of website design, HTML, search and social advertising, programmatic advertising, and email marketing.

Qualifications
