Sheet Metal Journeyman – Commercial HVAC

Dallas–Fort Worth, TX
$28–$34/hr | Full-Time or Contract | 40–60 hrs/week

We are hiring an experienced Sheet Metal Journeyman to join our commercial mechanical team. This is a hands-on role for a skilled professional who takes pride in quality work, safety, and teamwork. Long-term opportunity with consistent hours and room to grow.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Install commercial HVAC systems including spiral duct, round pipe, flex duct, dampers (fire, motorized, manual), air devices, louvers, and air-moving equipment
  • Read and install from blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Fabricate and modify duct and sheet metal using brakes, shears, rollers, punches, snips, drills, and power tools
  • Install hangers, connections, TDC, drives, clips, sealant, screws, nuts, and bolts
  • Make final connections to equipment and ensure airtight systems
  • Drill, punch, and install duct taps (spin-in, peel-and-stick, airtight)
  • Operate man lifts, personal lifts, duct jacks, and chain hoists
  • Lead or assist apprentices/helpers as needed
  • Work safely at heights using ladders and lifts
  • Maintain jobsite cleanliness and safety standards

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years commercial or industrial HVAC sheet metal experience
  • Strong knowledge of duct installation and fabrication
  • Experience leading or training helpers/apprentices
  • OSHA 10 preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Safety-focused, dependable, and professional
  • Able to lift up to 75 lbs and work in all weather conditions
