Job Title: Commercial Electrician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Commercial Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings and facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety procedures, blueprints, and commercial electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair commercial electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, panels, and equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Install conduit, raceways, cable trays, wiring, switches, outlets, lighting, and electrical panels.
  • Troubleshoot electrical circuits, equipment, and control systems.
  • Perform electrical testing and identify faults using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes, OSHA requirements, and company safety standards.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and electrical inspections.
  • Coordinate with general contractors, project managers, and other trades.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work completed and materials used.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
  • Follow all company policies and job-site safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Commercial electrical experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Ability to read electrical plans and schematics.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools used in electrical work.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license may be required.
  • Electrical license or certification preferred, depending on local requirements.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to lift and carry electrical materials and equipment.
  • Ability to work at heights and in varying weather or job-site conditions.

Work Environment

Work is primarily performed at commercial construction sites, offices, retail facilities, industrial buildings, and other commercial properties. The position may require occasional overtime, weekends, or emergency service work.
