Job Overview:The X-Ray/CT Technologist performs high-quality radiographic and CT imaging to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. This role operates imaging equipment safely, positions patients accurately, prepares contrast materials, and ensures all images meet clinical standards. The technologist provides compassionate patient care, follows all radiation and safety guidelines, maintains required licensure, and supports efficient workflow through proper documentation, equipment care, and teamwork.Responsibilities:

• Utilize all digital imaging functions and proper radiographic positioning.
• Thorough knowledge of PACS and workflow for efficient imaging.
• Prepare appropriate contrast media for radiographic procedures.
• Basic knowledge of plane and solid geometry.
• Basic skill in using IV catheters, NG tubes, chest tubes, and ostomies.
• Knowledge and skill in isolation precautions and contrast media administration, including side effects and complications.
• Familiar with ACR protocols, image collection, and scanner phantom testing.
• Recognize and correct positioning or technique errors.
• X-ray: Teach and guide radiology students in clinical training.

Minimum Skills/Requirements

• Must be registry eligible or a Registered Technologist in good standing with ARRT or equivalent; understand modality-specific skills; may perform other duties as needed for SDMI operations.
• Maintain Nevada State licensure.
• Acquire and maintain all ARRT and BLS certifications.
• Demonstrate knowledge of patient rights, confidentiality, and privacy.
• Communicate clearly with patients, visitors, and staff of all backgrounds.
• Participate willingly in departmental cross-training for professional growth.
