For this position, we are especially interested in technicians in and around Indianapolis, IN as well as surrounding areas.

What You’ll Do

As an HVACR Technician with KC Services, you will diagnose, service, repair, maintain, and install residential and/or commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment.

Your responsibilities may include:

Diagnose and troubleshoot heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration systems.

Perform HVACR service, repairs, maintenance, and installations.

Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems.

Service furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, rooftop units, refrigeration equipment, controls, and related systems.

Read and interpret wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.

Use diagnostic tools, meters, gauges, recovery equipment, and other HVACR tools.

Identify system problems and recommend appropriate repair or replacement options.

Communicate professionally with customers regarding equipment conditions and recommended repairs.

Complete accurate service tickets and documentation.

Maintain a clean and professional company vehicle and work area.

Follow all safety procedures, manufacturer specifications, and applicable codes.

Provide exceptional customer service and represent KC Services professionally.

Participate in an on-call/emergency service rotation as needed.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for technicians with the skill, experience, and attitude to succeed in the field.

Required

HVAC, HVACR, or refrigeration service experience preferred.

Ability to diagnose electrical and mechanical problems.

EPA Section 608 certification or ability to obtain certification.

Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Professional communication and customer-service skills.

Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to work in hot, cold, confined, and outdoor environments.

Ability to safely lift equipment and materials.

Preferred

2+ years of HVACR service experience.

Commercial HVAC/R experience.

Refrigeration experience.

Experience with gas furnaces, heat pumps, rooftop units, boilers, and HVAC controls.

Electrical troubleshooting experience.

NATE certification or other industry certifications.

Experience with service-management or dispatch software.

We are looking for skilled electricians who are comfortable troubleshooting electrical systems, servicing commercial facilities, and providing professional service to customers.

Position Overview

As a Commercial Service Electrician with KC Services, you will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and servicing electrical systems and equipment in commercial facilities.

You will work independently and as part of a team to identify electrical problems, perform repairs, and ensure systems are operating safely and properly.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial electrical systems.

Perform electrical service calls at commercial facilities.

Troubleshoot electrical circuits, equipment, controls, and components.

Install, repair, and replace electrical components and equipment.

Troubleshoot motors, disconnects, breakers, panels, lighting, controls, and related electrical systems.

Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

Use electrical testing equipment, meters, and diagnostic tools safely and accurately.

Identify electrical problems and determine the appropriate repair solution.

Perform preventive maintenance and electrical inspections as required.

Work with customers and facility personnel to explain electrical issues and recommended repairs.

Complete service documentation, work orders, and required paperwork accurately.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Follow OSHA, NEC, company safety policies, and applicable local electrical codes.

Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working condition.

Provide professional customer service and represent KC Services positively in the field.

Participate in an on-call/emergency service rotation as required.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for electricians who have strong troubleshooting skills, take pride in their work, and can confidently handle commercial service calls.

Required

Commercial electrical service experience preferred.

Strong understanding of electrical systems and troubleshooting.

Ability to diagnose electrical problems using meters and other testing equipment.

Knowledge of electrical safety practices and applicable electrical codes.

Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Strong communication and customer-service skills.

Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.

Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field.

Ability to safely lift equipment and materials.

Ability to work in commercial facilities, mechanical rooms, rooftops, and other varying environments.

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years of commercial electrical service experience.

Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent experience.

Experience troubleshooting commercial HVAC-related electrical systems.

Experience with motors, controls, starters, VFDs, disconnects, breakers, and panels.

Experience with commercial lighting and lighting controls.

Experience with preventive maintenance.

Experience working with building automation or control systems.

Experience with service-management or dispatch software.

OSHA or other industry safety certifications.
